Toyota Corolla Facelift 2026 in Pakistan: Price, Variants, Features & Rivals Compared

Toyota Corolla Facelift 2026 in Pakistan: Price, Variants, Features & Rivals Compared

Toyota Pakistan is about to give the Corolla its third facelift on the 11th-generation platform. Images of the refreshed Corolla Altis X surfaced in Pakistan on 4 October 2026, and on 7 October details from Toyota’s new brochure confirmed exactly what each variant gets. Indus Motor Company (IMC) has not yet announced the official Toyota Corolla facelift price in Pakistan or a launch date — so below you will find everything that is confirmed: the changes, a variant-by-variant feature breakdown, full specifications, today’s Corolla prices in Pakistan as the benchmark, the withholding tax you will pay, and how the Corolla stacks up against the Honda Civic, Honda City, Hyundai Elantra, Changan Alsvin and Toyota’s own Yaris and Corolla Cross.

Key facts at a glance

  • What it is: a facelift of the existing 11th-generation Corolla Altis, not an all-new car. The body shape stays the same.
  • What changes: new grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, reworked headlights and tail lamps, new alloy wheels, warm-steel cabin trim, Bluetooth 5.0, Panasonic speakers and rear USB-C/USB-A ports.
  • Five variants: 1.6 MT, 1.6 CVT-i, 1.6 CVT-i Special Edition, 1.8 CVT-i and 1.8 Grande.
  • Top-end extras: wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED fog lamps, a sunroof, a two-tone dark chestnut interior and six parking sensors (on the higher variants).
  • Engines: no change announced — the familiar 1.6-litre (120 hp) and 1.8-litre (138 hp) petrol engines are expected to continue.
  • Price: not yet announced. The outgoing Corolla costs Rs 6,123,500 to Rs 7,733,500, and an increase is widely expected.

What Toyota has confirmed so far

The facelift first appeared in Pakistan on 4 October 2026, when the refreshed sedan was photographed wearing Altis and 1.8 X badges. Around the same time, the outgoing Corolla disappeared from Toyota Indus’s online line-up — a clear sign that the current model is being phased out. Three days later, details from Toyota’s new Corolla brochure showed how the update is spread across the range.

At the front, the Corolla gets reworked headlights, a slimmer upper grille and a redesigned bumper. At the rear, the tail lamps and bumper have been revised, and there are new alloy wheel designs and an updated colour palette. Many people online have already compared the new face to the Toyota Prius — it is cleaner and more modern than the current “X” design, though opinions are sharply divided.

Inside, every variant gets warm-steel trim accents, revised door and interior trim, an infotainment system with Bluetooth 5.0, imported Panasonic speakers, and new USB-C and USB-A charging ports for rear passengers — a small but welcome change in a car that is so often driven by a chauffeur or used for family trips.

Why another facelift, not a new Corolla? Pakistan has used the 11th-generation Corolla since July 2014, while most international markets moved to the 12th generation in 2018–2019. Toyota Indus has chosen to keep refreshing the existing car instead — a strategy that protects parts availability, resale value and familiarity, but leaves the Corolla behind newer rivals on technology and safety features.

Variant-by-variant: what each Corolla facelift gets

Not every variant gets the same treatment. The visual changes and cabin updates come with every Corolla, but the most useful features — wireless smartphone connectivity, fog lamps and parking sensors — are reserved for the more expensive versions.

Engine and specifications

Toyota has not announced any mechanical changes for the facelift, and the spotted car appears to be an evolution of the current model rather than a new generation. The specifications below are those of today’s Corolla Altis X range, which the facelift is expected to keep.

Power and torque: 1.6-litre vs 1.8-litre Corolla

1.6 power120 hp
1.8 power138 hp
1.6 torque154 Nm
1.8 torque173 Nm

The 1.8-litre engine makes 15% more power and 12% more torque, and delivers its peak torque 1,200 rpm earlier — noticeable when overtaking on the motorway or climbing in the north.

On safety, the Corolla still offers two airbags across the range. That is a growing weak point: the 2026 Honda Civic now includes the Honda Sensing driver-assistance suite as standard on every variant, and several Chinese and Korean sedans and crossovers offer more airbags and modern driver aids at similar prices.

Current Toyota Corolla price in Pakistan

Until Toyota Indus announces the facelift price, the current Toyota Corolla price in Pakistan is the best benchmark. These are the latest prices from an authorised Toyota dealer in Karachi, including 17% sales tax, along with the withholding tax you pay at registration — roughly three times higher for non-filers.

The 1.8 CVT-i costs only Rs 330,000 more than the 1.6 CVT-i — and is cheaper than the 1.6 Special Edition.

What will the facelift cost? Toyota Indus has not announced prices. Industry reporting widely expects an increase over the current list, and the facelift range drops from six variants to five (the Grande no longer comes in separate beige and black versions). Treat any “expected price” you see online as a guess until the official list is published — we will update this article when it is.

Remember that the sticker price is not the whole bill. On top of withholding tax, budget for registration and token tax in your province, insurance, and your bank’s charges if you are financing. For a non-filer, the withholding tax alone on a Grande is almost Rs 7 lakh — a strong reason to become a tax filer before buying a new car.

Corolla vs rivals: price comparison

Compare car prices in Pakistan today and the Corolla sits in the middle of a crowded market. Below it are cheaper sedans like the Honda City, Toyota Yaris and Changan Alsvin; above it are the Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra, and Toyota’s own Corolla Cross crossover.

Starting price of popular sedans and crossovers in Pakistan

Changan Alsvin~Rs 41 lakh
Toyota YarisRs 46.5 lakh
Honda CityRs 47.4 lakh
Toyota CorollaRs 61.2 lakh

Honda CivicRs 85 lakh
Hyundai Elantra HybridRs 1.14 crore

Toyota figures are ex-showroom Karachi from an authorised dealer; Honda and Hyundai figures are the manufacturers’ latest ex-factory prices. The Alsvin figure is approximate. Registration and withholding tax are extra.

Toyota Corolla vs Honda Civic

This is the classic Pakistani rivalry. The entry-level Civic costs about Rs 24 lakh more than the entry-level Corolla, and even the top Corolla Grande is cheaper than the base Civic. For that money the Civic gives you a turbocharged engine and, since its 2026 facelift, Honda Sensing on every variant. The Corolla answers with a lower price, cheaper and more widely available parts, and famously strong resale value.

Toyota Corolla vs Honda City and Toyota Yaris

If you mainly drive in the city, the gap between a Corolla and a City or Yaris is hard to justify: the Corolla 1.6 MT costs around Rs 14 lakh more than a City 1.2 CVT. What you get for it is more space — a 2,700 mm wheelbase and 470-litre boot — and the Corolla badge, which still matters when you sell.

Toyota Corolla vs Hyundai Elantra and the Chinese newcomers

Hybrids became sharply more expensive in 2026 after Pakistan raised sales tax on hybrid vehicles: the Elantra Hybrid rose from Rs 9.9 million to Rs 11.4 million in August. That has widened the Corolla’s price advantage. Chinese brands, meanwhile, are winning buyers with more technology and safety equipment for the money — exactly the pressure this facelift is meant to answer.

Should you buy now, wait for the facelift, or buy used?

Wait for the facelift if you want the newest look, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, or the Grande’s parking sensors and two-tone interior. The 1.8 CVT-i looks like the sweet spot of the new range on paper.

Buy the outgoing model if you can find one at a good price before stocks run out. Mechanically it is expected to be the same car, and you avoid any price increase that comes with the facelift.

Buy used if value is your priority. A two-to-four-year-old Corolla Altis gives you the same engines and most of the comfort for considerably less, and the Corolla’s parts network makes it one of the easiest cars in Pakistan to keep running. Always check the documents, verify the registration with your province’s excise department, and get an independent mechanic’s inspection before paying.

What the facelift means for the used Corolla market

Every Corolla facelift has followed the same pattern: when the new look arrives, many owners upgrade, and more pre-facelift cars reach the used market. For buyers, that usually means more choice. For sellers, it is a reason to list sooner rather than later — before the new model is everywhere and buyers start comparing your car with a brand-new one.

If you are planning to sell, a clear listing makes a real difference: take photos in daylight from every angle, include the model year, variant, mileage and service history, mention whether it is first-owner and original paint, and set a realistic price based on similar ads in your city. You can browse current used cars for sale on Adjungle.pk to see how similar Corollas are priced, including cars in Karachi and cars in Islamabad. Keeping your current Corolla instead? Frequently asked questions

When will the Toyota Corolla facelift launch in Pakistan?

Toyota Indus has not announced a launch date. The refreshed Corolla was spotted in Pakistan on 4 October 2026, details from its brochure emerged on 7 October, and the outgoing model has been removed from Toyota Indus’s online line-up, which suggests an official launch is close.

What is the price of the new Corolla facelift in Pakistan?

Official prices have not been announced yet. The outgoing Corolla costs Rs 6,123,500 to Rs 7,733,500 (ex-showroom Karachi), and an increase is widely expected with the facelift. We will update this article once Toyota publishes the new price list.

Is the 2026 Corolla a new generation?

No. It is the third facelift of the 11th-generation Corolla, which Pakistan has used since July 2014. Most other markets switched to the 12th generation in 2018–2019.

Does the facelift get a new engine?

Toyota has not announced any mechanical changes. The 1.6-litre engine (120 hp, 154 Nm) and the 1.8-litre engine (138 hp, 173 Nm) are expected to continue.

Which Corolla facelift variant is the best value?

On paper, the 1.8 CVT-i. It gets the more powerful engine plus the facelift’s most useful upgrades — fog lamps, turn-signal mirrors and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto — while the Grande’s extras are mostly cosmetic apart from the parking sensors.

Should I buy a Corolla or a Honda Civic?

The Civic is more modern and comes with Honda Sensing as standard, but it starts about Rs 24 lakh higher than the Corolla. If budget, running costs and resale value matter most, the Corolla is the safer buy; if you want more technology and performance and can afford it, the Civic is the stronger car.

How much withholding tax will I pay on a new Corolla?

On the current price list, filers pay from Rs 122,470 (1.6 MT) to Rs 232,005 (Grande, black interior). Non-filers pay about three times as much — from Rs 367,410 to Rs 696,015.
