How these Sehri and Iftar times work
- Sehri ends at the start of Fajr (sun 18° below the horizon, the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi method used across Pakistan). Stop eating a few minutes earlier to be safe.
- Iftar is at sunset, rounded up to the next minute (Fiqh Hanafi).
- Fiqh Jafaria: Iftar is usually about 10 minutes later, and Sehri timings can differ too. Follow your local imambargah’s timetable.
- Numbering assumes the first fast on Tuesday 9 February. If Ramadan starts on Monday 8 February, use the 8 February row for your first fast; the times for each date stay the same.
- Fridays are shaded. Times are for each city centre; nearby towns can differ by a minute or two.

Eid ul Fitr 2027 date and holidays in Pakistan
Eid ul Fitr 2027 is expected on Wednesday 10 March 2027. The new moon is born on the afternoon of Monday 8 March, Pakistan time, too late for the crescent to be seen that evening. By the evening of Tuesday 9 March it should be easy to see across Pakistan, so Eid is expected on 10 March whether Ramadan starts on 8 or 9 February.
- Chand Raat: Tuesday 9 March
- Expected Eid holidays: Wednesday 10 to Friday 12 March (three days). With Saturday and Sunday, that makes a five-day break from 10 to 14 March.
- Fitrana: the minimum Sadaqat-ul-Fitr amount is announced shortly before Eid. Pay it before the Eid prayer.

- Eid ul Adha: Monday 17 May
- Days of Qurbani: Monday 17 to Wednesday 19 May
- Expected holidays: Monday 17 to Wednesday 19 May (three days). With the weekend before, that is five days off from Saturday 15 to Wednesday 19 May. The government sometimes adds a day, so wait for the official notification.

| 17–19 May | Mon–Wed | Eid ul Adha (3 days) | Expected: moon sighting |
| 28 May | Friday | Youm-e-Takbeer | Fixed |

Frequently asked questions
When will Ramadan 2027 start in Pakistan?
Ramadan 1448 AH is expected to start on Tuesday 9 February 2027. The crescent might just be visible on the evening of Sunday 7 February; if it is, the first fast will be on Monday 8 February. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announces the decision on the evening of 29 Sha’ban.
When is Eid ul Fitr 2027 in Pakistan?
Eid ul Fitr 2027 is expected on Wednesday 10 March 2027, with Chand Raat on Tuesday 9 March. Holidays are expected from 10 to 12 March.
How many fasts will there be in Ramadan 2027?
If Ramadan starts on 9 February there will be 29 fasts; if it starts on 8 February there will be 30. Either way, Eid is expected on 10 March.
When is Eid ul Adha 2027 in Pakistan?
Eid ul Adha 2027 is expected on Monday 17 May 2027, with the Day of Arafah on Sunday 16 May and Qurbani from 17 to 19 May.
Are these timings for Fiqh Hanafi or Fiqh Jafaria?
The tables follow Fiqh Hanafi: Sehri ends at the start of Fajr and Iftar is at sunset. Under Fiqh Jafaria, Iftar is usually about 10 minutes later; please follow your local imambargah’s timetable.
Why can Pakistan’s dates differ from Saudi Arabia and the UAE?
Pakistan starts each Islamic month only after the moon is sighted in Pakistan. The Gulf countries see the young crescent under different conditions and use their own rules, so Pakistan is often a day later.
When will the government announce the Eid holidays?
The Cabinet Division usually issues the Eid holiday notification a few days before each Eid. Office timings for Ramadan are announced at the start of the month.
Sources and how the dates were worked out
Expected Ramadan and Eid dates for 1448 AH come from the International Astronomical Center’s calculations, as reported by ProPakistani (22 August 2026). We checked them against our own calculations of new-moon times and crescent visibility from Karachi and the Balochistan coast. Adjungle.pk calculated the Sehri and Iftar times for each city’s coordinates using the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi method (Fajr at 18°) and standard sunset, rounded to the safe side; the same method matches published 2026 Karachi timetables to the minute. The holiday list follows Pakistan’s regular federal holidays, cross-checked against CalendarLabs and Office Holidays. All accessed 24 October 2026.
Disclaimer
All dates and timings in this article are estimates, worked out in October 2026 from astronomical calculations. In Pakistan, each Islamic month begins only after the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirms the moon sighting, so Ramadan, Eid ul Fitr, Eid ul Adha, Ashura and Eid Milad un Nabi may fall a day earlier or later than shown. Public holidays are final only when the Federal Government (Cabinet Division) issues its official notification, and provinces may announce their own. Sehri and Iftar times are calculated for each city centre and may differ by a few minutes from your local mosque’s timetable; to be safe, stop eating a few minutes before the listed Sehri time. Please follow official announcements and your local mosque. Adjungle.pk is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of these estimates.
